All children are important, and I need to find and help them reach
their best potential. All children are unique, and special, and there is
no one else like them in the world. Jesus loves them no matter what.
In order for students to realize their full potential, a teacher must
earn the students respect, and love. My students respect, and love
me because I respect, and love them. This is a simple fact that will
impact these children forever.
Academically, the learning environment in my classroom is highly
successful. Children are allowed to grow at their own pace given the
proper encouragement. My students are always expected to do their
best no matter what the task. We discuss what "the best" is in a fun
and understanding way.
Good behavior is always expected, and is instilled in each child by
using kind words and actions in the classroom, and throughout the
school grounds. When a child misbehaves it is important that I talk
to, and explain to the child why his, or her behavior is unacceptable,
and what can be done to correct it. I use behavior modification, and
work with the child's parents to help them deal with any future
behavior problem.
At the end of the school year, when I see that all the children have
met or exceeded my expectations, and I see that they have made
friends, are happy, and more mature, then my job has been a
complete success.
